[Hong Kong] Australia Dairy Company
This is a cha chen teng that serves western meals with Hong Kong influence. The food featured in this write up was from 2 visits. Yes, it was so good we just had to return within the same trip (which is a rarity when we are at HK). This is one of the most delicious breakfast places we visited in HK with possibly the world’s best scrambled eggs, along with their delectable choice of toasts and assorted teas. The name of this cafe itself is an enigma. I never thought of finding out its origin until I sat down to write this review, so it’s another excuse to visit again the next time we return to HK so that we can ask the staff next time.

Don’t worry about the long queue. People are assigned shared tables and generally finish their meal quickly. Although there were at least 30 people in front of us, we waited for only about 15 minutes before we got a seat. Go during weekdays off typical breakfast hours (e.g. 10am or later) if you want a shorter queue.
Breakfast set for HKD26 from 7.30 am to 12 noon. Lunch set for HKD30 from 12 noon to 11pm. Quick meal set available all day. Cold drinks are an additional HKD2.
Quite possibly the best scrambled eggs we ever had! Edging out even Gordon Ramsay’s “perfect scrambled eggs”. It may not look like much but that soft fluffy egg mixture with velvety texture packs a terrific mouthwatering punch! You can choose fried eggs instead of scrambled eggs but most people ordered the latter.
The chicken soup was tasty, simple and comforting.
No breakfast is complete without a traditional milk tea. Goes well with the meal.
The cute milk bottles neatly lined up at the window were basically beckoning us so we had to order one to try. Very fresh since they are bottled at a local dairy farm.
This is the coffee and tea mix. It came in a cocktail shaker since it was cold.
Small refreshing glass. Generous with the lemon. Typically we only get a single thin slice with a tall glass in Singapore.
Your typical toast. Simple and nice. The condensed milk imparted a fragrant and sweet taste to the bread.
Delightful and filling. It was made just soft enough but contained a satisfying bite.
Their own version of the steamed milk custard. Worth a try but I prefer the version from Yee Shun Milk Company a little more.
I remember this tasted a little strange to me. Not sure what to make of it. Perhaps because it was chilled so the flavour did not really make an impact.
