Hmmm, I don't know if it's just me but that was easy. I could tell by the way the light shined on the apples and oranges. Not to mention, it'd be much harder to make a fake durian than it would a fake orange!

Nate:: I think the mini durians are premature babies which dropped off the trees... and they dry them to sell as ornaments. These dried foods have absolutely no smell at all!! :D

LCOM:: hi5! ;)

Lydia:: These are dried, and have absolutely no smell at all ... I'm pretty adverse to durian's smell myself ;)

rita:: meee tooooooo, I want to go back already! :O

Great illusion! But here's a question -- do mini durian smell any less foul than full-sized ones??!

I was thinking that the oranges looked too perfect.

Wow, mini durians - I wonder if they picked them specifically for decorations or were these knocked off to give the other fruit more room to grow. Did they have the same durian smell?

Welcome back!
Those fake fruits - I think there are "real" equivalents but made into other street snacks(thus not so real as well) - some sort like "Ang Ku Kueh" right? I've seen it before. Eg.. "Ang Ku Kueh" made into the shape of mini orange, mini apples?
Very cute.

Missed you! Had a good trip?
So, are you supposed to eat the dried durians or are they for decor? Your photos are great. More, more... :)
I'll be in Bangkok in 2 weeks. Yay!
